looking? New to
If you are totally new to church and have all kinds of questions, you won’t be alone. We try to be a group of churches where people can ask their questions and share their doubts. None of us has it all sorted!
We hope that coming along to one of our services, and getting to know others who are perhaps a little further on in the journey, will help you to find out more about what it means to know God.
From time to time, we have events or short courses for people who want to grow in faith or explore the claims of Christ for themselves.
One life. What's it all about? If this is a question you’d like to explore again, or perhaps for the first time, then you’d be very welcome to join us in one of our local pubs at our next informal Christianity Explored course. (The last one was held in The Garway Moon Inn in 2015).
Over 7 sessions we looked through Mark’s Gospel and explored 3 questions that cut right to the heart of Christianity: Who is Jesus? Why did he come? How does he call us to respond?
Who is the course for?
Anyone, of any age! Atheist, agnostic, or someone just interested in a refresher on the Christian faith. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible to attend. You won’t be asked to read aloud, pray or sing. You can ask any question you like or, if you prefer, just come along and listen.
As a follow-up to the Christianity Explored course in the spring/summer of 2015, we ran a Discipleship Explored course in the autumn, exploring the apostle Paul's letter to the 1st century church in Philippi, to understand what it means to follow Jesus Christ. The evenings followed a similar, informal format to that of Christianity Explored, with a DVD, discussion and the opportunity to ask any question.
Although there's no course planned in the short term, you are always very welcome to contact our Vicar, Revd Elizabeth Davies, or our Associate Minister, Revd Frances Pullen, or any of the churchwardens from our group of churches if you have any questions about the Christian faith.
It’s time to discover…
